I, The Oak Tree
I, the majestic Oak Tree
outlived you who now see.
I witnessed all encounters
and shed tears when many bleed.
I, the majestic Oak Tree
admired and feared.
But I live as you breathe
and mutually feed you air.
I, yearn for lengthy years ahead
to be a guardian for your land.
I can promise you shelter,
as I count on your share.
