My Early Morning Drive

 

As driving East every early morning,

sometimes reluctance befrends the coldness,

and the dark sky encourages laziness.

On enjoying it,

fellow drivers are quite often challenging

forcing me to keep my mind alert,

while quieter days tempt me to race a bit

to be rewarded with  a little time 

for a cup of  hot drink afterwards.

Despite all these morning nuisance,

what a luxury to sometimes enjoy 

the blue clouds of different hues,

and always feel mesmerized 

when witnessing the sky blushes 

with the emerging of the bold morning sun.
